Our widely respected build team has the task of turning vision into reality at Bowles & Wyer.

With a large and highly skilled team, we take on the construction of projects with quality as our core focus. We’ve won the coveted BALI Grand Award twice – for the best landscape project built in the UK that year. Whether it’s a large scale landscape, a small but complex garden, or even a show garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show – we pride ourselves on using innovation, knowledge, engineering and a real understanding of construction.

We assign a dedicated team to every one of our construction projects, with a senior member of the team overseeing every stage and always available to discuss progress. Coordination and cooperation is at the heart of what we do, and allows us to build the landscape you look forward to with efficiency, diligence and minimal impact.

Founded in 1993, we’re a team of around 50 based in Hertfordshire and we work on projects across the UK. Our turnover topped £5.5 million last year and we’re enjoying continued, steady growth. We’re well known in our industry and play a key part in industry bodies and initiatives. Regulars at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, we’re respected for our creativity and integrity.

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive landscape construction service for projects which vary in scope and scale – whether it’s a show garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, a bespoke roof terrace created by our in-house design team, or a landscape design by some of the most respected garden designers in the industry. We work on projects in London, the Home Counties and just beyond – and to give you an idea, our construction services include:

  • Ground modelling
  • Expertise on drainage, service supplies and electrical outputs
  • Advice on specialist subcontractors
  • Hard and soft landscaping
  • Construction of garden structures and water features
  • Experienced use of a wide range of materials: from natural stone to play-safe surfaces
  • Specialist planting, horticultural knowledge and large tree planting
  • High quality project management and client liaison
